Lower Bellbird Circuit plus Ballanjui Falls  (14 KLMS – CLASS 4 - 4–5 HRS)

Heading down hill thru rainforest we soon pass a giant stringybark tree. The graded track continues to zig-zag down hill and after about 2klms, we reach Koolanbilba Lookout with spectacular views over Egg and Turtle rock and the valley below. We soon pass high cliffs of rhyolite before reaching Yangahla (picnic rock) with its beautiful grasstrees and magnificent views of the Kurragin Valley and Ships stern Bluff.

Before long we reach a large grove of Piccabeen Palms and giant Brush Box trees before taking the side track in to lower Ballanjui Falls. Following along Nixon Creek for around 500mts, we reach Ballanjui Falls as it drops 150mts from the cliffs above. Retracing our steps for 1.5 klms, we follow the Bellbird Circuit along the base of the cliffs thru a patch of dry rainforest with some Hoop Pine present before again entering rainforest. Upon reaching Bellbird creek, we leave the forest and walk out and around large cliffs of rhyolite with spectacular views above of the cliffs and to the Kurragin Valley below. As we leave the cliffs behind the track makes its way thru an old reclaimed dairy farm where Bellbirds can be heard and within 20 minutes we reach the road.
